Our Cedarwood orchestra students are working hard learning to play new music on their instruments. We had a wonderful winter concert in December and are now hard at work learning our Fundamental Skills for testing. Our testing date is February 23
rd. All 5
th and 6
th grade orchestra students will be tested on a scale, a song, and their sight-reading skills. On March 1
st, our 6
th graders are going on a field trip to Clovis High to listen to older music students play and learn how to sign up for orchestra in middle school. Then 6
th grade orchestra has a festival in April at the Performing Arts Center where they perform two music pieces for judges. Finally, we will have our Spring Concert at Cedarwood on Monday May 22
nd to end the year. Thank you for all your support with practice at home. Please email Mrs. Humphreys if you have any questions!
